Enviable statistics. Industry recognition. HWH has built an Environmental Health & Safety program that trains leaders in hazard identification and risk analysis, and benefits everyone by reducing illness and injury, preventing property damage and preserving the environment. Our construction company’s safety team conducts their own project and site inspections to OSHA criteria, and HWH has never had a chargeable violation.
The proof is in the numbers:
A company-wide Experience Modification Rating (EMR) issued by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) of .90 for 2014. And a construction incident rate for 2014 of 1.35, compared to an industry standard of 2.7.
Employee training and certification:
- OSHA 10 and 30 hours for construction
- Crane operation and rigging
- Powered industrial truck and aerial work platform operation
- CPR and first-aid
- Fall protection
- Confined space entry and rescue
HWH is a participant in the voluntary Occupational Safety and Health Consultation (OSHCON) program sponsored by the Texas Department of Insurance, to help identify and eliminate occupational hazards.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers presented HWH with its Most Safe Contractor award for work at Fort Sam Houston, and insurance carrier Amerisure recognized HWH for Zero Workers’ Compensation Claims based on 313,822 man-hours worked in 2010-2011.
This culture of and reputation for safety extends from the critical training, medical and contact information on every employee’s ID badge to subcontractors, clients and the community. HWH strives to ensure that everyone on your project goes home safely, every day; our impeccable safety records foster confidence.
